Finally the weekly news is back!

Greetings, Flipnoters! This is Aaron at Hatena in Kyoto, Japan bringing you the latest edition of the Flipnote Hatena Weekly News.

We are happy to start posting the news again this week after taking a 5 week break. In this issue we will introduce some of our favorite Flipnotes from the topic that ended on March 17, 2011 which was “Bubbles”.

From now on we plan to post the news every week as usual.

All of us at Hatena in Kyoto are looking forward to seeing your Flipnotes, and would like to thank you for your continued support.

Fill up your bathtub, add some soap, then jump in and check out some of our favorite Flipnotes posted about topic by creators from around the world. (Be careful not to get your Nintendo DSi wet!)

This week’s topic: “Flowers” (Apr. 15, 2011 – Apr. 21, 2011)

Spring has finally come to many parts of the world, and flowers are beginning to bloom. This week we would like you to create animations that feature flowers.

Try to create patterns with flowers, make flowers that walk or talk, or animate how flowers grow and bloom. Be creative and have fun – don’t forget to watch out for bees!

We are looking forward to seeing your Flipnotes, and will feature some of the best ones in the next edition of Flipnote Hatena Weekly News. Post the Flipnotes you create to the channel below from Flipnote Hatena on your Nintendo DSi.

Also, please do not use copyrighted music in your Flipnotes if you want them to be featured here.

The Flipnote team has created 3 new Creator’s Room themes that are available in the Color Star Exchange this week. Below are some screenshots and details about the new themes.
